About Chris

Chris has long experience as an adviser on corporate transactions and Board decision making and spent 8 years as Senior Partner at Slaughter and May, an executive chair position. During his term as Senior Partner, he worked with colleagues to help the firm navigate the global financial crisis and sought to bring focus, accessibility and energy to the role.

Building on this advisory and management background, Chris established CSA in 2016. The business has evolved over the years since and now offers the range of advisory services outlined under ‘What we do’.

He is also a Board member at the European Corporate Governance Institute (ECGI), a member of the mentoring panel at J&A Mentoring and an alternate arbitrator for disputes between the FIA and Formula 1 drivers. Until the end of his term in April 2026, he was a Deputy Chair (and Chair of the Code Committee) at the The UK Takeover Panel and a Board member at ICC UK.

Chris is a founder member of The International Register of Board Reviewers (TIRBR).
